Selena Marie Gomez atau yang kita tau sbg Selena Gomez, lahir di New York, 22 Juli 1992 merupakan artis Amerika, merupakan keturunan setengah meksiko dan setengah italia. Ayhanya, Ricardo Gomez dari Mexico & Ibunya Mandy Teefey setengah Italia. Selena sendiri pun tidak pernah merasa malu karena dia tidak mempunyai rambut yang pirang dan mata yang biru seperti orang-orang Amerika yang lain. dia tetap merasa percaya diri terhadap dirinya, apa adanya.

selena memulai karirnya pada umur 7 tahun pada serial anak-anak Barney & Friends. selain berakting di Wizard of Waverly Place yang telah membesarkan namanya, dia juga pernah bermain dalam serial disney The Suit Life of Zack and Cody sbg Gwen dalam episode “A Midsummer’s Nightmare” dan di Hannah Montana sebagai Mikayla, rival Hannah Montana dalam episode “I Want You to Want Me…To Go to Florida” dan “That’s What Friends Are For?”.

di tahun 2007, dewi fortuna pun lebih bernaung padanya. Ia berhasil memerankan Alex Russo dalam Wizard of Waverly Place yang premierenya pada bulan oktober 2007. slena juga bermain dalam beberapa film seperti :
